The female lead remains in mine and as so often in a Bond film, under the money, certainly a beautiful woman but in this print they acted under par and under resolution. Otherwise my rating below might have been a 5. The Bond films are also clear water, with the actors and not the special effects and stunts being the last reliable ones. I own the entire Bond collection, but this is one of my favourites.

At the moment it is not really clear whether Craig will appear in the next Bond, but so far I think this is his best Bond film. He goes back to the raw version of Bond, hard, cynical and cruel. Craig can also scare everyone off with a very cold look, which I think is a very good choice. In this film he gets nice counterplay from Mikkelsen and good support from Wright and Giannini. The female lead remains in my eyes, as so often in a Bond movie, substandard, a beautiful woman for sure, but in this pressure she behaves substandard and this undermines my rating, otherwise it could have been a 5.
