Monte Carlo Casino Monaco
Monte Carlo Casino Monaco – Since I’ve seen all the James Bond movies, gambling in Monaco is high on my list. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a big gambler in general, but I think you should at least once. Although there are many casinos to choose from, I wanted to go to the world famous Casino de Monte Carlo (Monte Carlo Casino).
My overall experience with gambling in Monaco was very positive. Although scary, I’m glad I went and enjoyed it. It might help me make some money too! I couldn’t find much information about gambling in Monaco before my trip, so I wanted to create this blog post to help others. Also, the pictures below were taken during the James Bond premiere, so if you think this is forever, it isn’t.

You really can’t miss the building. It is located at the top of Casino Square, the main square where it all happens. And, if you’re staying in Nice, it’s only a 30-minute ride by Uber or train. If you need places to exchange money in Nice, I wrote a whole blog post about it here.

Casino hours are daily from 2:00 PM to 4:00 AM. Times may change so always double check their website here.
You must be at least 18 years of age or older to access the casino area. Especially for Monte Carlo Casino, anyone has access to the lounge area where you pay the entrance fee. You must be 18 years of age or older to access the actual casino area.
From what I’ve seen, there are some major differences between gambling in Monaco and Las Vegas. First, the legal gambling age is 18 in Monaco and 21 in Las Vegas. Second, there is an entrance fee to enter Monte Carlo Casino. I don’t know if this applies to all casinos, but if you want to gamble at this casino, you have to pay. Establishing a third casino. In particular, in relation to the Monte Carlo Casino, there are some rooms if you want to play some games. And in Vegas, everything feels open and everything is connected. The last big difference I see is how small the casino actually is. I thought it was going to be a huge mega casino, but it turned out to be very small. I think it’s more about the quality of the experience than the quantity.
At the time of my visit (September 2021) the entrance fee to Monte Carlo Casino was €17. I thought that was crazy because in Las Vegas they beg you to come spend money in their casino. . Despite the fee, the casino is running a promotion where you can choose a special offer with your login. You had four choices and I decided to go for the €10 slot machine credit. So technically, I only had to pay 7 euros for the entrance fee.

Another good thing to note is that you can pay the entrance fee by credit card. I had put! I actually used credit to buy euros to gamble. It worked for me because I didn’t have many euros to begin with, so I didn’t want to waste it paying the entrance fee.
Gambling is a common practice in Monaco, and dressing up is encouraged. I saw women in full ball gowns and men in tuxedos. However, I personally wore casual clothes and had no problem getting in. Granted, I left the day before (at 5pm) so it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. I feel like the later the night goes, the more you should dress up. Anyway, if you have the chance, you should. After all, you are in Monaco!
First, you’ll be gambling with euros, so make sure you know your exchange rate. Second, there is an exchange inside, but the prices are terrible! Make sure you have Euros before entering. At least it depends on the games you play. I played a slot machine and the minimum spin was 50 cents. Table games have higher minimums than what you’d typically find in Vegas casinos.

One thing I noticed is that Monte Carlo Casino has an overall minimum spend. It’s strange because nobody told me about it. I noticed this while writing this blog post. My entry ticket says to spend at least 30 euros per person. I certainly didn’t gamble 30 euros (I think) but I don’t even know how they could use it. All in all, what I’m saying is that if you’re trying to save money, you don’t need to worry about 30 euros/person.

Yes, I won! I was too scared to play any of the table games by myself, so I stuck to the slot machines. I deposited €10 (from my special offer) and won €32.50 back. I know it’s not that much, but I’ll consider it a win anyway. My entry fee is a little more. On a spectacular trip to the Côte d’Azur, stop for a day in Monaco, or Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo Casino owes its fame, fortune and even its second birth to the Kingdom of Monaco. It all started in 1861 when Prince Charles III Grimaldi sold two towns in his province: Roquebrune and Menton to French Emperor Napoleon III.
