The new Wildfire Casino at 2700 E. Fremont St. opened Friday afternoon — just in time for Super Bowl LVII — and opened a new chapter for the neighborhood casino brand.
General Manager Jonathan Veltri said the 21,000-square-foot casino with approximately 200 slot machines, bar games and electronic tables has an improved look with modern design and amenities compared to the Wildfire envisioned. General Manager Jonathan Veltri said, for example, TVs can be seen from anywhere on the slot floor. And the bar has 16 stacked 65-inch TVs with sports betting symbols above them.

“It’s really the focal point of the real estate,” Veltri told the Review-Journal. During the preview on Tuesday “It’s very bright. It almost looks like a piece of art with a TV and sports symbols on top.”
The redesign is part of an effort to tie the Station’s casino to seven other Wildfire properties – operator Red Rock Resort, Palace Station and Durango Resort – currently under construction in the Southwest Valley. And the new “Wildfire by Station Casinos” brand logo makes the connection clear.
STN sportsbook and two kiosks Cashless gaming through STN Cash and the first loyalty card kiosks at Wildfire and others will help increase that goal.
“We wanted Station Casinos to feel like Durango, but in a smaller setting,” Veltri said. “Not everyone wants to go to a big casino. So we want everyone to have that option. But with excellent station facilities convenience, safety and security.”
