Casino Inn Bali – The manager of Seminyak’s newest sports resort has been arrested for gambling at his place. Michael Jerome Le Grand, 47, believed to be a long-time resident of Bali, was arrested on Saturday 29 June. After several days of questioning and interrogation, police in Bali released details of the arrest to local newspapers.
Le Grand was arrested along with two women believed to be his personal assistants. The two Indonesian nationals have been named as Gri Lestari, 38, and Anggie Ayu Febbyan, 22, both originally from Java.

Police were tipped off to Grandi’s gambling operation through an anonymous tip. Police raided the building near Jalan Kayu Aya at 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon and were able to collect evidence of gambling.

Denpasar Police released a statement and said: “Michael Jerome Le Grand was arrested along with two women as suspected personal assistants. We also presented many proofs. They include a laptop, television, hand-held betting summary and cash amounting to Rp. 22,400,000” (US$1,508).

While we still have a working glass press located at the back of the island waste in our humble little concrete cave, the conditions are dire and it requires constant maintenance and repair. We are now using our current machine full time and each day we can break 100 – 200 baskets of bottles (about 7,500 bottles per day) with routine breaks to cool the machine. Sound awesome? We still need to print more!
With this new machine, we aim to increase the efficiency and overall volume of crushed bottles. With two machines instead of one, we can extend the life of the old machine by using each on alternate days to give them a break, especially when regular maintenance is needed. When we have a large order of bricks to make in a short time, we can now have two machines working at full capacity to get orders faster and customers to make their decision to build more consciously and environmentally friendly. do it dramatically reducing the amount of waste glass that ends up in landfills.
Our crushed stone produces a fine aggregate of sand which, when mixed with normal cement powder and fresh water, can be placed in molds to make heavy building bricks. The money collected from these bricks goes towards the wages of the brick maker and the glassmakers at the famous island of Gili Trawangan, and even to the maintenance of our old work car.
