SVF cinemas, which owns 13 multiplexes in Kolkata, will open its doors from Friday with all standard protocols, the spokesperson said.
In Puducherry, only one theater was running shows, while everyone in the city will resume showings at two of its theaters on Friday. The lack of new releases and the closure of theaters in neighboring Tail Nadu was also a reason.
In Andhra Pradesh, cinemas remained closed on Friday despite government approval, with exhibitors citing various constraints, mainly high maintenance costs.
