A new craps game at Harrah’s Las Vegas, Roll to Win Craps by Aruze Gaming America Inc., combines the traditional dice game with a large LED screen and electronic betting. Animations and audio features add to the excitement and aim to make the game more appealing to newcomers.
“The fact that the entire range is made of LEDs allows us to do things that traditional boards can’t,” said Aruze president Rob Ziems. “The response was very positive, and we heard that the table often full.”

The updated chart names each level of the game and shows the number of rolls as a series progresses. When he’s a hot shooter, vibrant flames dance across the screens. The area under the dealer is also equipped with an LED screen that displays game information and advertisements for the casino.
Players can place their bets privately on their personal screen, and each station accepts cash and issues tickets.
“We expect our guests to be impressed by the accessibility and exciting features of the game,” Harrah’s general manager Dan Walsh said in a statement.

Called “Roll to Win Craps,” the hybrid game allows players to roll dice on an electronic table. The table provides digital information about the game in progress. Players separated by plexiglass barriers manage their bets on a separate screen at their station.
The table was recently used at Harrah’s Las Vegas on the east side of the Strip.
The digital table, made by Aruze Gaming America Inc., is the first of its kind in Nevada, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Rules On Winning At The Craps Table
Aruze president Rob Ziems said the board’s design was done before the start of the coronavirus pandemic. However, the game has some COVID-19 safety benefits, including few touch points, he said.
He also said that the digital tablet, with helpful tips for players, can offer guidance to those new to the game.

How To Play Craps
One of the most famous craps plays happened on September 24, 1980, when an unknown man in boots placed a $777,000 bet on a Las Vegas craps table, according to writer Michael LaPointe in the Paris Review. The bet was made at Binion’s Horseshoe Club in downtown Glitter Gulch.
Later known as the Ghost Gambler, the man placed his bet on the “no pass” line. This means he bet against the woman rolling the dice. The woman put six, nine, and finally seven, defeating the highest player. He walked away with $1.5 million.
The Ghost Gambler returned to the Horseshoe in 1984. He was identified as William Lee Bergstrom, a 33-year-old gold and silver trader who also made money moving real estate in Austin, Texas.
