This, along with the planned redevelopment of existing areas, will allow the property to expand its gastronomic and entertainment options. New features will attract new markets to the gaming platform.

Most of the new space will be occupied by the first Crepe Affair, a restaurant serving French crepes all day and offering “crepe and cocktail” nights. However, there will be a new Chop Chop in the Four Seasons. It is a contemporary Chinese restaurant serving Hong Kong-inspired dishes made popular at the existing Four Seasons restaurant.

Hippodrome has long led the landscape and the next phase of our growth strategy is focused on elevating our position as a competitive lifestyle brand by enhancing the guest experience,” said Simon Thomas, CEO of Hippodrome.

There will also be an “underground” themed cocktail bar located on the lower ground floor. However, the location will not open this summer, but later this year.

The performance space consisted of both a proscenium stage and arena, submerged in a 230-foot, 100,000-gallon water tank (about 400 tons, filled). The tank had eight citral fountains and a circle of fountains around the sides. Areas adjacent to the auditorium are also subject to flooding and are used for boating activities.

Performances include equestrian acts, elephants and polar bears, and acrobats will dive from the minstrel gallery above the sliding ceiling to the whistle of the proscenium arch. The auditorium, eliminating the columns that obstructed the view in London theatres, consisted of cantilevered galleries, entirely covered by a retractable ceiling of painted glass, which was illuminated at night.
