BJP MLA Lobo demanded the legalization of “matka gambling” in the state and a “GST-like” tax on the activity.

Last week, Sawant had told the state assembly that Goans would be banned from entering beach and seashore casinos in the state.
“Casinos are mainly for tourists. We will soon set a date from when Goans will be banned from entering beach and seashore casinos,” Sawant said.
